Sharif (Yul Brynner) is an escaped rebel criminal who hates the oppressive government and the capitalistic, blood sucking oil conglomerates that undermine his country. He and his protege terrorist Ahmed (Sal Mineo) grab a beautiful Arab hostage Laila (Madlyn Rhue) and are chased across the desert sands by military police in this action packed adventure.
