Luna and Tarus set out on a quest to find the wishing well in Midway. Searching for it in a world plagued with angry rebels, they barely escape from their enemies' claws when Luna finally faces the well, but, without knowing what to wish for. She wants to stop Leo in his scheming but must also save Duke's soul, and a terrible feeling in her gut tells her that her actions might become the reason for Duke's doom. Leo has figured out who the secret heart is and is more determined than ever to complete his life's work. Once Leo has 'gathered all that has been apart', it will be time to find out whether it was he, or Susy, who was the most skilled magical scheme-maker.
