On a fantastic world, humanity lives beneath the light of the two moons. During the day, people forage for supplies and run down deer for food. At night, they huddle for warmth in cold caves. But their deep caves and sturdy clubs aren't enough to protect them from one of their planet's most fearsome predators. A man's primitive tools are no match for raw might of a raptor. As humanity's hopes draw dim, a young boy, Lucifer, discovers the power of miracles. Teeth and claws prove little match for his new found gifts. New generations are born and learn to perform their own miracles. Fire, wind and earth all bend to their call. Soon humanity begins to grow and spread beyond their first small village. But the raptors have a few surprises of their own. Now that the raptors find themselves with the advantage, humanity learns to fear their ancient enemy once more. How far will Lucifer go to end the raptor threat? Will his miracles bring about his people's salvation or the end of all mankind?
