Abrial looks like a simple woman with seven kids living in Ohio. She has a huge house, nice cars, lots of money, a double life, and a huge family secret that she will kill to keep that way. When the father of her two youngest boys, Iceberg, almost finds out the family secret, she packs up the kids and run away to France where the rest of her family live. Not thinking he would go through great lengths to find her, Iceberg tracks down Abrial at the worst time. Right when a full blood gargoyle is trying to make contact with her. After learning the secret, she gives him a chance to accept it and continue to be in the lives of her and the rest of her family. Thinking things couldn't get any more challenging, a different, more aggressive gargoyle tries to take Abrial away for himself. Since Iceberg is helpless at defending his woman, her kids have to do what he can't to get their mother back safe.
