American artist and glassblower Laura Kramer was inspired by the Renaissance concept of a cabinet of curiosities - an encyclopedic collection of objects that had not yet been classified - when she schemed up this striking series. Often blending found organic objects with manmade ones, Kramer creates deliciously tactile sculptures that defy classification, suspended somewhere between art and nature. This collection features thirty hand-blown, flame- worked glass tubes, filled with found objects.
