After Graduation from Hokkaido University, he taught Japanese Literature at a high school for 22 years. He married a woman of God's choice in 1981. By request he started a ministry teaching the Bible and utilizing the gift of healing. With God's urging, he quit the teaching job in 1995 and founded a living community called Keisenjuku, a kind of harbor for life, in a rural area to help revitalize distressed people. He also founded a company called Vitaport to give vocational training. The church, the community and the business are thriving together.
