Goshen, the county seat of Orange County, is situated in the Hudson Valley 60 miles northwest of New York City. Settled in 1714, Goshen boasts of a rich farming heritage as well as a vibrant history of harness racing. Goshen Revisited follows the development of the village and the town with more than 200 photographs highlighting the village's Victorian homes, the downtown business district, schools and organizations, and prominent residents. Photographs show some of the many farms that made Goshen a thriving dairy center, and they trace the history of harness racing that gave Goshen the title "Cradle of the Trotter."
