There are two famous "cruces" in Shakespeare's "Hamlet," which have eluded scholars for over three hundred years in the sense that we scholars hold differing interpretations on the meaning of "Too too solid flesh" and "The Dram of eale." This book offers new insights for addressing this issue by claiming that the key to solving the problem of Hamlet's dramatic character lies in the famous debate between Erasmus and Luther on free will.
