In 1914, Harry Kern speeds into Cleveland, Ohio with a race to win and nothing to lose. His new-found celebrity garners him a job in the automotive industry and the admiration of a certain policeman's daughter. Based on the lives of the author's grandparents, parents, aunts, and uncles, intertwines fact and fiction into a sometimes unbelievable but often true story of a family living in the first half of the twentieth century.
