The year is 2100 and the season is fall. Due to financial gaps, we only have 2 socioeconomic statuses: Rich and poor. Each fall, in a ditch effort to bridge the gap, a single male heir chooses a bride from the lower class whom he courts and eventually marries. From ages 16 to 24 years our case files are reviewed by a committee to determine if we will be eligible and thus take place in the winter pageant. The winter pageant is where the bachelor chooses his bride. And I, Cat, will participate in this year's pageant.
