Growing up Dad was almost never around. He was always on some kind of business trip that kept him away for several weeks at a time. I used to try and make up stories to justify why he had to spend so much time away from his family, but nothing could have prepared me for the truth.From a young age I longed for adventure and as I got older it never diminished. I wanted to be like the heroes from my beloved books. And by making one life changing choice I got my wish.
