Nine-year-old Julio Ramirez has a long-time dream of being a matador. He lives in the town of Algodonales, Spain, in the province of Andalusia. His father, Domingo, knows a man who has a school that trains bullfighters. Julio enters the school run by a famous bullfighting family. Julio immediately makes an impression with his work ethic and determination for a nine-year-old boy. He has the support of his mother, father, sister, and younger brother. This story has some controversy because of the nature of bullfighting. It is still legal in most of Spain to have corrida de Toros, or bullfight. Julio wants to be known as Julioito in the arena.
