The Black experience through the eyes of an aspiring writer, who just wants to be recognized as an American since his black ass can't afford a boat ride or a flight back to Africa. Denis has four friends with different experiences than his own but the one thing that keeps them all connected is that they all are Diasporas from a land they only learned about through a text book.
