L. A. Wilding's , published in three parts, is well established as an excellent introduction to the language, providing details of grammar and syntax in an ordered and easily assailable sequence. Continuous translation from original sources is used throughout the course from the earliest stages, both in order to give pupils a sense of achievement and to instill in them a genuine interest in Latin.
