LEAVE IT TO BEAVER was a half-hour sitcom that aired 236 episodes between 1957 and 1963. The
premise of LEAVE IT TO BEAVER is that the Cleavers are the 1950's four person All-American
household. The parents Ward and June, and older brother Wally, try to keep the youngest child,
Theodore ('the Beaver') out of trouble. However, Beaver continues to end up in trouble of one
sort or another. These situations would be resolved and the Beaver would learn his lesson with a
few stern moralistic words of advice from his parents. Another notable cast member was
troublemaker Eddie Haskell, a two-faced older kid living in the neighborhood, that would often
goad Beaver into bad situations but always manage to avoid being caught himself.
The Dell's anthology series, FOUR COLOR, published five issues featuring LEAVE IT TO BEAVER as
well as a one-shot issue in 1962. The FOUR COLOR issue numbers are #912, 999, 1103, 1191 and
1285. The one-shot was numbered #207. All six issues are collected in this nostalgic fun filled
volume.
