In Book 2, Lily Good Path becomes the Bear to travel to the sky to find the plant people to gain knowledge about agriculture. She meets the great celestial bear and brings great wisdom back to her people. Lily is a Crow Indian girl and these stories are based on an amalgamation of two traditional folklore from the Micmac.
