At a wilderness camp for youngsters helping each other with grief, twelve-year-old Lizzie is fascinated by stories and tales of magic, determination, sorrow, faith, and forgiveness - all shared with humor and sympathy. She finds comfort in her new friendships. She learns to grieve in a new way - through honoring her mother. She and her new friends, from different backgrounds, learn to forgive each other, and themselves.
