The aim of this book is to present spiritual enlightenment in a simple and understandable way, completely free of any kind of ritual, belief or dogma. I have done my best, based on my own personal experience, to explain spiritual enlightenment in a straightforward, direct way. This does not mean that attainment of direct realization is easy; far from it. In most cases, it takes a lot of work, and one should be prepared for many challenges along the way. My sincerest hope is that the words in this book will not only touch you deeply, but also inspire you to awaken to your own pristine, non-conceptual awareness, allowing you to directly experience your true nature. In the end, this is just a book filled with words. Words are words-that's all. They are just concepts; nothing more. You will never actually "arrive" at spiritual enlightenment through conceptual, intellectual understanding. It's a bit of a paradox, because on a certain level, we need intellectual concepts to teach, motivate and inspire us. At the same time, spiritual enlightenment will come knocking on our door and reveal itself to us only in the moment of true silence, when all other concepts have fallen away.
