A woman in an emotional fortress of solitude head deep into depression is at first terrified of the ghost that comes into her life until he saves her from a car accident. This causes the very lonely woman to fall in love with him, terribly frightened that someone will find out, they intend to keep their love a secret. When things seem to be going just right, he is betrayed by his brother, (another phantom) who sees them speaking together and alarms the world of the phantoms about their secret love, which is forbidden. Things get complicated when her family finds out the truth of what Robert really is. What they wish will last forever seems to be put in to question when it is threatened and distresses them both leaving them unsure what they can do about preserving their love. Their love is costing each other alot but they're determined to fight for it. Robert soon begins to realize that his loving Margaret is putting him into great danger. What are they going to do about it? Was any of it worth it? Will Robert be destroyed?
