On the chart-topping fourth EP from , the quintet show their full range with a varied mix that ranges from edgy dance-pop to tender balladry. Following 2020's first "minisode," gets a little darker and more introspective, as heard on the aggressive, riff-buffered lead single "Good Boy Gone Bad" and the piano-driven "Trust Fund Baby," respectively. and take center stage on "Lonely Boy," which rides a midtempo hip-hop beat and sparse acoustic guitar. The EP ends with a rocket-ship blast of neon synths on "Thursday's Child Has Far to Go," an energetic closer that should sate fans until the next installment. ~ Neil Z. Yeung
