Reflecting 's early casting as a Western hero, and 's famous music have a Western flavor. (This recording is not the hit version by ; it derives from the original soundtrack album.) by , has a lively fanfare, while is ominous and wistful. Starting with one is introduced to the first of seven cues actually written by , who reveals not only his well-known taste for , but also a way with pretty melodies. 's music for is prefaced by 's trademark "Do I feel lucky'" speech from the film. ' score is really ten separate pieces ranging from calm orchestral music ( ) at the start to ( ) at the end.
