Seven years were spent in Alaska working on the construction of the Trans Alaska Pipeline and saw it built from start to finish. During this time he and his wife Annie raised four children. After leaving Alaska, Don retired to a ranch in Oklahoma where he and his family designed and built a ranch home. Over the years Don has traveled in all parts of the USA, in Europe, Canada and Hawaii. He flies an airplane, skiis in Colorado, and sails in Oklahoma on the Lake of the Cherokees and in the Virgin Islands. He entertains with his accordian.
