From a standpoint, 's second album, , is among her strongest releases. Those who like as a robust, big-voiced shouter weren't disappointed by -influenced offerings like and the y hit which shouldn't be confused with the standard. But brings overtones to the exuberant (another major hit), and she detours into torch singing on the which defined in 1946. It wasn't until 1991's that recorded the sort of project her father would have recorded -- for the first 15 or 16 years of her recording career, she avoided his type of music. But occasionally, the of the 1970s and 1980s showed her appreciation of , , and pre- -- and her pleasing interpretation of is a perfect example.
