The theologian and social ethicist Karl-Heinz Dejung (born 1941) not only provides historical and theological insights in the ecumenical movement and the conciliar process for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation. Above all he reflects their lasting importance for spiritual and self-critical learning processes in the ecumenical province of Germany. "It is not yet certain what we will be." His impulses and drafts are rejections of longings for omnipotence by Western Christianity. At the same time they are an invitation - also and especially in view of the encounter with other religions - to trust a God who is leading through painful farewells and is giving new beginnings.
