The special merit of this book is that it very successfully places the issue of ordination in a wider context-- more than many Adventist other studies have done thus far. It is therefore an important contribution to the current discussion within the Adventist Church about the ordination of women. It will help many readers to see a wider context, which they may thus far have missed. The overall context is, according to the author, the mission of God. But a number of other areas further elucidate the wider context.
