Renewable energy, also known as alternative energy or clean energy, is the terminology for any energy obtained from sources that renew themselves and do not generate major negative environmental impacts. This book deals with the main sources of renewable energy that are most widely used and, at the same time, those that are growing the most in the Brazilian energy scenario, namely wind energy, photovoltaic solar energy and energy from biomass.
