The Pharisees were a sect that lived by the most stringent rules. Even Jesus said they had outward righteousness, but he also said our righteousness must exceed theirs. How do we accomplish his command? Do we live by more rules, or is there another way? I compare the Pharisee lifestyle and how they viewed Jesus with traditional Christians of today to see who is living by faith and who is living by works.
