In 1961, after 55 years of the family-style leadership of a private company, Planters Nut and Chocolate Company was acquired by Standard Brands, but continues to produce a great number of advertising premiums. These "newer" items of Planters memorabilia are presented here, including those surrounding its involvement in auto racing and golf tournaments and the promotional items surrounding Mr Peanut's 75th birthday in 1991.
