Hope and Winn Prichard discover that God brings about His plan in surprising ways. Earthly angels, beggars, and even Howard Hughes help them in their quest to publish a newspaper during the Great Depression. With an ulterior motive, Winn aids a stranger which results in the revival of an entire town. While Hope stays with her hypercritical mother-in-law, letters and prayers sustain them while Winn works to establish a newspaper.
