Kady Kane has never auditioned for any type of theater because her acting skills aren't up to par and everyone knows it. Until her best friend, Mase, decides to sign her up does Kady actually consider the option. When Kady lands the lead in a musical, but doesn't realize until it's too late that her romantic interest is being played by Parker Alan, her brother's best friend. The two have had a rocky friendship for the past 13 years, and now Kady has to pretend to fall in love with him. But will it all be pretend?
