The manual provides the reader with categories such as museums, caves, waterfalls, forts, ruins, lighthouses, beaches, rivers, fishing, hiking, boating, etc., and includes the name, address, and GPS for each item within the categories. It also provides the reader with a simple description of the attraction or tour along with the cautions, and the amount of time to estimate at each location; information that is valuable for planning your daily activities as well as your entire vacation. The material in the manual is from various National Park Service, local businesses, mapping programs like Google Maps tm, and Internet searches and took the author over three months of near full time research to compile and document. It is current as of January - March 2019 and if needed will be updated in the future. Be aware that Puerto Rico did get hit hard by the 2017 hurricane and many of the attractions like hiking trails, beaches, parks, etc. are still being rebuilt; the author has where known indicated this fact by comments in 'Yellow'. Where an attraction has become unsafe or is permanently closed, the comments are in 'Red'. It is recommended that you verify all the attractions you wish to visit, before making plans. Puerto Rico is part of the US, and you as a US citizen can travel there without a passport, and thus it is a great place to visit, learn about its culture, history, and people, and if desired partake in its pristine Caribbean Sea waters. The author has included not just the normal tourist spots, but also the locations that are used by the locals, and by those that want not just a history lesson, but also outdoors' adventures. Where applicable a short history of the building, location, monument, or place is included. The Arecibo Observatory featured Jodie Foster in the movie , and was also used in the James Bond movie . There are great forts, balloon rides over the landscape, monuments, plantations, historic ruins, lighthouses, and waterfalls; all listed in this manual. Hiking trails, equestrian trail rides, and zip line adventures are included Yes, Puerto Rico does offer train rides for getting around certain areas or just for tourist fun. Beaches, deep-sea fishing, kayaking, river rafting, boat tours, and more are covered with locations and short descriptions. The author has put together a few tour suggestions that you might want to consider. Safety and other information is included. There is a short-listing of Spanish to English word translations included. Unlike many tour guides being offered over the Internet, this manual has a multiage comprehensive index. See the end of the review for details on his other touring guidebooks and TripAdvisor™ Reviews. Enjoy.
