Some things in our lives are so obvious, they are right there in front of us, just below the surface, but we still fail to see them. When Duke Tate became bedridden and close to death's door after being bitten by a wolf tick as he was hiking on the Appalachian trail in Connecticut, he went on a deep spiritual journey that led him to complete healing from Lyme disease. During his journey, Duke Tate had several vivid dreams that led him to experience many miracles. One of those dreams that struck a real chord with him was when he was suffering from the debilitating symptoms of Lyme disease. In this dream, he was standing in a room looking at a bed where he was asleep at the time. The room, a dull color in reality, was bright white in the dream with sunlight streaming through the windows, which it rarely did. On the bed, there was a cute little baby. To his right, a Sufi dressed in a green robe pointed to the baby and said, That dream represented how far he had strayed from his life as an innocent child; the place where we all originate. The illness of Lyme disease was a covert gift that brought the author Duke Tate back to his innocent true self through a spiritual journey.
