It's been a year since Kai Salazar unknowingly aided Director Phi in freeing Bridgerzor from the Forbidden Realm, but a lot more has happened. Director Phi is now a Night Cat named Confusion and his fellow hero Candace is married to Van and due to give birth to their first child. Neither Kai nor Candace wants to join Team Cat Slayer, but it might be their best shot at defeating Bridgerzor, and with the leader of the Night Cats becoming more powerful by the day, saving the world has become a race against time.
