The Railville, Kansas City, and Colorado Railroad is a special Railroad where there is no need for engineers or firemen because the engines on this line are all living things that can take care of that on their own accord. The railroad is under money troubles, though, and the engines have been working their buffers off just to keep the line alive. In the end, it is up to two little switching engines with really big dreams to save the railroad from going under.
