Updated in 2023. As one who has been dining at restaurants approximately five times a week for more than five decades, the author has many stories to tell about his dining experiences. While some experiences have been terrific, far too many have been horrendous. Some of the bad experiences are shocking, and others have been hilarious. In the first part of "Restaurant Stories," the author reveals the worst restaurant experiences he has ever had. He gives details about a restaurant owner yelling obscenities in his face while being thrown out after having expressed a concern about service. He tells which popular restaurant chain's main office had someone answer his telephone call and tell him he was stupid after he expressed a concern in which the restaurant caused damage to his vehicle. Of course, there are numerous McDonald's stories, including the story about a manager following him out to his car and giving him the finger as he left. Plus, there is so much more. In the second part of the book, the author reveals the best restaurants he has ever visited. There are many details about the eateries of the past and present. The author expresses fond memories of the greatest restaurants. While most of the restaurants referenced are still in business, a few of them will take readers and frequent diners down restaurants' memory lane. Diners, restaurant employees (including servers, busboys, managers, and hosts), restauranteurs, and readers from everywhere and anywhere will enjoy the written style of "Restaurant Stories." All photos in the book were photographed by the author. "Restaurant Stories," which was most recently edited in 2023 to include new stories, is a fun, quick, honest, and interestingly entertaining read by Scott Paulson.
