In the remote frozen reaches of Alaska, the members of a rural community experience further trials to their isolation as an unusual meteorite collides with the earth on the outskirts of their town. What was initially seen as a unique meteorological phenomenon soon descends into chaos, pitting neighbor against neighbor as an unprecedented disease consumes the community.
