Roger Tallon is a key figure in French design and has worked in nearly all facets of the design industry. Early in his career he focused primarily on domestic design; he then turned to aesthetic and institutional concerns; and later his practice became strictly industrial. His diverse accomplishments include his Téléavia portable television set, Lip watches, designs for the first high-speed train, Mexico’s subway system, and the introduction of design teaching into specialist schools in France. This book includes a critical essay on Tallon’s impact on international design, an interview, and many reproductions of his work.
