After almost being fatally wounded in the line of duty as an I.C.E. agent for Homeland Security, Drum Bailey's life went from busting illegal Pharma kitchens, cocaine traffickers and cross-border marijuana mules in the jungles of South America and Mexico, to a long-term, painful recovery period of physical therapy and nauseating drugs. Finding that a certain naturally grown plant he experienced once, helped his condition immensely, he dumped the prescriptions and became a steady, responsible and discreet user. It's been two years since he ran afoul of the Masabanda cartel in Mexico, and a year since he went up against a multi-millionaire pot-growing entrepreneur in southwest Colorado. Now, he's happy just to live the "Salt Life" on Serendipity Island just west of Ocean City, Maryland with his trusted Lab, Reo. A week before the Memorial Day holiday, his father, Tommy Pine, local nightclub owner and wannabe concert promoter, asked Drum to take a simple turn-around trip to Bermuda and see if he could locate the daughter of an O.C. local who had gone missing from her gig on a Disney cruise ship. Trouble is, every time his father asks him to do a favor, things get dicey in a hurry. While Drum searches for the girl, his father hires a wheelchair-bound booking agent and sets up a 2-day classic rock concert with four, semi over-the-hill national bands who have returned to the concert circuit. What no one knew was the four lead singers of these bands had taken a young, attractive girl from the site of the 1999 Atlantic City Pop Festival reunion, drugged and sexually abused her. The unfortunate thing for them is the same girl lives in Ocean City now, and upon hearing of their performing for the "SANDSTOCK ROCK FESTIVAL", the painful memories of that horrible night begin to boil over and she begins to plot her deadly revenge. Trying to find the missing entertainer from the Disney ship and help his father with the results of the groupies revenge, Drum is pulled into a labyrinth of stolen antiquities with a hidden cache of gems, a famous cosmetic surgeon into S&M, a vengeful ex-lover and to top it all off, the arrival of the beautiful Mexican-American he thinks he might have fallen in love with during the Yalapa escapade who surprises him with a new addition to his family he never knew he had...a son. The action is fast, the characters distinctive and the outcome...well, I guess you'll need to purchase a ticket to "SANDSTOCK" to find that out. Enjoy the concert!
