Inspired by Black hair culture and historically significant items like the Afro pick comb, New York-based Nigella Miller launched AFRA in 2019. The African American and Guyanese hairstylist created a collection of gold loc bands, hair beads, and Afro pick combs, elevating the traditional accessories to meaningful, wearable hairpieces and collectible art.
