Sparkling Stars began publishing in June of 1944 by Holyoke Press and is a great example of an anthology series that had something for everyone. There were plenty of sports stories with Boxie Weaver'S boxing and Speed Spaulding playing everything from football to crew. There are thrilling World War Two tales with the Hell's Angels, art by a young Carmine Infantino. There are funny animal stories and humor fantasy stories with Ali Baba. Add various exploits of private detectives and the F.B.I, Plus science fiction action and Sparkling Stars provides a potpourri of entertainment.
