Sarah Garland and her best friend Amanda are finally happy that the harsh winter in Snow Falls, Alaska has ended and Spring has arrived. With the new season, Sarah hopes that the joys of Spring will take away the difficult battles she faced during the Winter months. What could go wrong with fresh, warm air dancing around her small town, waking up sleeping animals and beautiful flowers? When Sarah is told that a hunter was found dead on an old hiking trail, a familiar feeling of icy dread begins to set over her. With Detective Conrad Spencer out of town, Andrew, Snow Falls Chief of Police, asks for Sarah's expertise as a former Los Angeles homicide detective with the new case. Sarah reluctantly agrees, thinking that the case will be simple to manage, given her other more recent complicated debacles. Yet as the case begins to transform, Sarah realizes she has been thrust into a dangerous case with a deadly enemy.
