This is a book of poetry of my life back in the day, my life on the streets and how I survived. Of rhythmically lyrical rap-poetry, poetry and song about my life growing up in a time of racism and segregation in NYC and how those times inspired me to survive despite the odds against me.
"Motherless Chile" is a poem with the song "Motherless Chile" sung in the background, about my life on the streets the many times when I ran away from home and tried to survive the streets that I wasn't prepared for. I was looking for a mother's love in the streets because I did not get any love at home.
"My Letter to Michelle" is about how the first black first lady inspired me and gave me hope as a black woman of color.
"Just Another Victim of the Streets I live" is a rhythmically lyrical rap song of how I survived on the street amidst dope dealers, prostitutes, of which I felt I was a victim of the streets that tried to devour and consume me. I got caught up but got out before my body was tossed up. And I got out.
"The Ghetto" also a rhythmically lyrical rap song about what it's to live in the Ghetto.
