A story combining prose and narrative poetry. It is about a grandmother and her grandson who are wont to narrating stories every night before getting to sleep. The novella begins by the grandson telling his grandmother a story which the teacher narrated in the classroom. Then the grandmother's memory is kindled, and in a myriad of imageries she starts a long narrative poem describing a lonely woman's life in rural environment.
