is the second volume in the Lakeport Series. It's summer in Lakeport, school is almost out, and the young men are ready for the baseball. Since other towns around them have teams of players about their age, they decide to form one with the intent of, of course, beating everyone else. While winning all the games doesn't work out, they have a lot of adventures just trying to beat their arch-rivals, the Excelsiors.
