Directed by Joanne Samuel, this young adult fantasy film centers on a group of Australian teen misfits who unlock ancient secrets embedded within a staff they found in a museum during their high school field trip. They venture to a magical world where a misguided sorceress tries to accrue power with the help of the sacred Tree of Life. But as she endures banishment for coming near it, she uses the teen misfits to achieve her goals, much to their detriment.
