With money burning holes in their pockets, the boys purchase a touring car and head west. When they started out, they never expected to be battling for the rights to a gold mine, but they didn't expect to be attacked by Indians, charged by a herd of stampeding cattle or involved in capturing a horse thief, either. Of course, their nemesis, Noddy Nixon gets in the way throughout the book.
