Roger Devereux is angry. Angry at himself, angry at his ex-girlfriend Veronica, angry at the world. After stopping a mass shooting with a brutality that has the mayor of Birmingham looking for any excuse to prosecute him for his actions, Roger follows the advice of his lawyer and gets out of town. On a camping trip in the Sipsey Wilderness he meets a woman that rekindles something inside him that he thought was lost forever.
