After escaping from the dungeon of the Flavian Amphitheatre, Lucretia found relative safety in Germanic territories. However, after her lover died during a trial by combat to select the tribe's new queen, her duty to kill her stepmother for causing her father's death, weighed heavy on her mind. After convincing her half-sister to stay with the Germanic tribe, she and Brianna headed back to Rome.
