It took a few more years then I will ever be willing to admit out loud for me to get to a point where I felt that I was ready for the world to see this side of me. I'd struggle not only with finding the right words but also with accepting my own pure vulnerability, between trying to protect myself and ensuring the emotion still rang true to me, still spoke for the me I was back then. This book, these poems all encapsulate my school self in the most unfiltered form. Though I will not sit here and try to say my story, my perspective is the truth because I know that every narrative has two equal tales. So for this wandering I provide you with mine. No matter how you decipher this expedition; it is only a matter of time.
