Vara the Conqueror has claimed Corinth and also the title of queen. Controlled by the Furies in her head, she is plagued by the actions of her great-grandmother, Pandora. Now she is ruled by greed, anger, jealousy, gluttony, and lust. Nikolai, son of Hera, is a soothsayer who is able to see the future. He's been sent by Hera on a vengeful mission against Zeus. Hera's also sent along her shapeshifting minion to watch over Zarek to make sure he does his job. Zarek must collect the vices in secret from Vara. So he serves as advisor to the queen.
